MICROPHONES Multiple individual microphones were used on each speaker cab. We positioned them in a variety of locations, listening in real time to find "sweet spots" -- typically near the edge of the dust cap and about 0" – 1.5" out from the grill cloth. IRs of Mics placed farther towards the edge of the speaker are labeled "CONE". Off-Axis captures, provided for the interesting color they bring to mixes, were made in a wide variety of speaker positions and distances, again all "by ear."
